2013 I knew it was all over.

My dad suffered a stroke, which meant my 4 brothers and I had to move back home, quit jobs, and go all in on the family business.

I shared the below story on Linkedin yesterday and it gathered over 150,000 views in 15 hours so I wanted to share it again below.

My dad suffered a stroke, which meant my 4 brothers and I had to move back home, quit jobs, and go all in on the family business. Before that point.I was interviewing for Hockey Scholarships at dream schools.I was working out and training with the best.I was officially top 5 all time in pts in the OJHL.I was on path for a future I thought was paved out for me.In 2014 I interviewed with Yale after a hockey game.Nobody knew about my Dad, nor did they know I was juicing in our basement for 500+ people a week with my brothers to pay the bills and grow Revitasize. The coach asked me 2 questions:1. What is your dream job?2. Who would be your dream employer? The next day the coach called my agent and told him they are moving on and that I am ''not the right fit''.---I was crushed.I couldn't sleep most nights. I was so angry, and frustrated that I called the coach myself to ask him "why?".What did I do wrong? His response stuck with me until this very day.He said: Your hands are stained with turmeric, you dream employer is yourself, and you spend every morning taking care of you and your family, that is who you are. You are not a hockey player.--The coach may never have been my official coach, but his influence will always be a part of my journey.Since that point, I have leaned into who I AM:10 Revitasize locations500,000+ Customers with HushTop 10 Canadian Kickstarter of all time.50+ Employee's100M in total sales1 acquisition+ got my mom her dream car 🫣
