Momentum is everything. Here's how to build it.

Hey there!

I’m currently poolside at my Miami home, re-reading "The Way of the Superior Man" after an intense few weeks…

Hosted another mastermind, sauna, and cold plunge session…

Then, I had 2 keynotes, in 2 continents, all in 72 hours, and 28 of those hours were spent on a plane.

Plus, ripped a few podcasts in between…

It’s been crazy, but seeing the Founders Club community thriving in multiple locations has made every minute worthwhile.

And to be completely honest with you – there are still moments when I question what the hell I am doing.

Like the other night…

At 2AM, I found myself still grinding, working through some growing pains within the community when I could've (should've?) been sleeping.

For the first time in 3 years, I feel it again.

That electric feeling.

That momentum.

I’m back on the saddle.

Any founder reading this knows exactly what I'm talking about.

It's that feeling that keeps you up at night – not because you have to, but because something inside won't let you rest until you've given everything to what you're building.

Truth is, I don't need to be doing this.

But this is who I am. I've accepted that.

And it's days like today, sitting here poolside after a Sunday padel tournament, where I can finally slow down enough to think about the wins and everything I'm grateful for.

Why?

You need to create momentum.

And there are lots of ways to do so...

But one way is to be grateful and count your wins every single day.

I believe taking at least one day a week is essential for founders to look for wins.

It's so easy to focus on the fires, the problems, the endless to-do lists.

But it's positive momentum that will help you keep going and not give up.

Another powerful way to build momentum?

Having those tough conversations that most people avoid.

I was reminded of this during our recent call with Starbucks Co-founder Zev Siegl.

He told us something that really stuck with me – a huge reason for Starbucks' success was that they leaned into hard conversations without the emotion.

Looking back at building Hush, every breakthrough came after a difficult conversation.

When our sales dropped to zero that first summer, my co-founder and I had to face whether we should continue.

Instead of giving up, we picked up the phone and called every customer who stopped buying.

Those calls weren't comfortable.

But they led us to create the cooling weighted blanket that completely transformed our business.

I've seen this pattern at every stage of scaling:

From 0-1M: Those brutal honest conversations with your co-founders about vision, roles, and what "all in" really means.

From 1-10M: The tough talks with agencies and partners – setting expectations and cutting what's not working.

From 10-25M: Getting real with your team about performance, culture, and what's needed to level up.

From 25-50M: The hardest of all – re-examining your own leadership and checking your ego.

Every next level in your business is waiting on the other side of the conversation you're avoiding.

It's in these uncomfortable growth edges where the real magic happens.

And it's so much easier to push through them when you have others alongside you who understand the journey.

This is exactly why I created the Founders Club – because humans are designed to grow in communities.

And after the amazing turnout on our call with Zev, I'm excited to open up another opportunity for non-members to experience what our community is all about.

This Tuesday (March 12th), were hosting a live conversation with Sean Riley - the Chief Executive DUDE of DUDE Wipes.

Sean turned a simple idea in a Chicago basement into a multimillion-dollar brand that's disrupting the toilet paper industry.

From landing a Shark Tank deal to scaling into major retailers nationwide, his journey is full of exactly the kind of hard-earned insights we value in our community.

The best part? This call is FREE and open to non-members.
