My S.M.A.R.T Goal yearly routine
It's time to pull back the curtain
What’s up Newsletter Fam and Happy Sunday!
Before we jump into this week’s edition of In Bed with Aaron…
I want to pull back the curtain a bit and talk about the recent progress Founders Club has been making…
When I started this group with Chris Meade 6 months ago, the idea was to create the most powerful community of Founders and support each other to the next level.
Truth is… I haven’t shared that many details about it.
Most of what you see are just pictures of the amazing free dinners, concerts, sporting events, etc.
But behind the scenes, there is an entire high-level environment filled with incredible speakers, once-in-a-lifetime resources and unmatched conversations in cohorts, etc.
Recently, I asked myself why I’ve held back sharing more details about Founders Club…
And the truth is…
I was scared.
I said it had to be bigger, better, and stronger before I shared more about it.
But yesterday I got this text…

This is what its all about…
Going forward I promise to share A LOT more.
We have some incredible things happening in the pipeline.
S.M.A.R.T Goals - How my co-founder Lior and I planned our success for Hush
I hope you guys have crushed it this week…
And hit all of your June goals.
Here are my mine for this month:
Lock in Tulum Retreat for FC club.
Hit 300+ members in the club.
Mt. Joy Concert in Toronto with 30+ Founders Club Members
Founders dinner July 11th in Toronto (link to join)
If you can't tell I'm a BIG advocate for making goals…
As well as planning your future…
And that is because no matter how good you are...
NO ONE is good enough to wing it.
Which is something I learned from Jesse Itzler.
Also, I hear a lot from people who tell me how I make the achievements that we did/do at Hush sound easy…
But I would be lying to you if I said my co-founder Lior and I didn't plan for it to be that way.
I remember back in 2018, I went to Lior and asked him,
"What do you want to do for New Years?"
And he looked at me like I was an alien and said,
"What are you talking about? I sit on my couch and plan the year."
So guess what? I parked my butt on his couch for the next FIVE HOURS...
Following this INSANE system he spent THOUSANDS of dollars learning from coaches...
And we went through this step-by-step process on how we were going to plan the ENTIRE year.
Here's how it went down:
We built our year THREE TIMES.
First round: We listed ALL the things we wanted. Personal, business, life, family - filling all the buckets.
Then we did this whole mood board thing. But not some aesthetic Tumblr BS.
We're talking REAL STUFF.
This house, this car, this many sales. Whatever was important to us, we put it on that board.
Second round: We wrote it as "I want it" and "I need it"
Third round: We wrote "I have it"
This whole process? It takes a LONG time. But it's worth every second.
But here is the thing - every single goal we set had to be a SMART goal:
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Time-bound
And let me tell you, the one most people mess up on? REALISTIC.
Like, if you're in sales and you did 100 sales last year, you can't just say
"I'm gonna do 1000 sales next year"
Without some serious planning.
We'd ask ourselves: Is there someone out there doing 1000 sales?
If yes, then it's realistic. But is it attainable for us? That's where the real work begins.
We'd break it down to LITERALLY what we have to do tomorrow and at what time.
I'm not kidding - our calendars would make you throw up. It's that detailed.
Lior also taught me this thing called "plan tomorrow today."
So every night before bed, I'm planning my entire next day.
When I'm waking up, when I'm eating, when I'm showering - EVERYTHING.
I hate when I hear people say I’m going to work 9-5 or 20 hours or whatever…
It's about WHAT you're getting done in those hours.
I have this thing I tell my staff (some love it, some hate it):
"Don't tell me what you did, just show me your calendar."
Because the proof is in the pudding, right?
We work backward, step by step, and at the end of the year, you look back and realize - holy smokes, we just climbed a mountain!
That's how we 10x'd Hush. It wasn't magic. It was PLANNING.
Hit reply and let me know what big goal you're planning for.
I'm always hyped to hear what you guys are working on!
Also next week Ill be in Miami with some free time… hit me up with your goal and I’ll choose a winner for a 1:1 goal-setting call!
Let's make it happen, fam!
