My philosophy behind delegation... plus I have some BIG news
Happy Friday Everyone!
The energy has been WILD lately…
- Founder club events.
- Planning out all of 2025
- Posting a ton on socials
- Prepping for another speaking event (more on that later)
And were in Q4…
It's a busy time folks.
In today’s newsletter, I wanted to hit on a topic that I was asked about recently on a podcast…
And it's something I see a lot of founders struggle with.
Which is How To Delegate.
Why does this matter to you as a founder?
Because every day spent with the wrong person in a role is costing you more than just money – it's costing you time you'll never get back.
What I usually see founders do when they delegate is they are constantly checking in saying,
“yo, how's that thing going?" And the person says "Oh, I'm kind of struggling, might need some help figuring it out."
So they look at it, edit it a couple of times, and move on…
But guess what?
They didn't really delegate shit.
All they did was make themselves feel better because someone else is "supposed" to do it, but they literally had to hold their hand because they chose the wrong person.
This is WRONG.
It's something I found out the hard way while building Hush, Revitasize, Founders Club, etc…
And after learning from countless mistakes…
I formed my philosophy on...
"The art of putting the right person in the right seat under the right deal".
At this point, I can tell if someone is right for the role within the first conversation I have with them.
How?
It's all in their energy.
When someone is in the right seat they GLOW.
Almost like the first date when you just know.
The best form of delegation is letting go completely - but that only happens when you've got the right person in place.
Speaking of people who glow...
I've got some BIG news to share.
After doing 26 keynotes last year and feeling completely empty inside, I made a decision to retire from speaking.
But back in September, I was asked by Ecom North if I would come back and just do one keynote and I said ABSOLUTELY NOT… until they mentioned it was in Toronto.
My hometown. Where it all started.
That keynote lit something up inside me that I thought was gone.
After all, I LOVE speaking to founders - I just needed to find my voice again.
So when Affiliate Summit West reached out about speaking this February in Vegas, I was ready.
This lineup alone tells you everything you need to know:
(Note: these are just a few of the speakers)
- Jake Karls (a good friend and member of Founders Club) from Mid-Day Squares sharing how he built a $10M+ brand through pure storytelling (without a marketing agency)...
- Scott Cunningham is dropping Merchant Mastery knowledge...
- Michael Wilson will be breaking down how to turn TikTok viral moments into sold-out inventory.
And I'll be presenting to you how we scaled Hush to $48M in 48 months, as well as challenging every one of your limiting beliefs along the way.
Want to join us?
Also because you’re a part of my newsletter fam…
Affiliate Summit West gave me a magic link that saves you a couple hundred bucks.
But, it’s expires December 6…
So, if you’re interested in going, make sure to secure your spot if you want to get early bird pricing!

That’s it for this week.
Remember the best form of delegation is not having to check in 24/7…
It’s being able to never have to think about that “thing” again because you can completely trust the person who you gave the task.
All the love.
- Aaron
