Want to talk with Starbucks founder?

Were hosting a live Q&A with Zev Siegl

Hey there,

Happy Sunday, I’m finally back in Miami after what felt like a marathon week of traveling…

Went to D.C. to experience the inauguration, a big moment for a Canadian who just moved to the States.

I was then in Toronto for 48 hours to host a Founders Club dinner. Toronto cohort is amazing, it was dead cold outside and we still had 60 incredible founders show up for dinner and a sweat sesh at Club Sudo.

Now I’m prepping my first keynote of the year at Affiliate Summit.

But before I jumped into that, I wanted to address the amazing responses I got from last week's newsletter…

Almost 50 of you opened up about your journeys, your struggles, and your dreams for 2025.

Reading through them filled me with so much gratitude…

Not just for the time you took to share your stories, but for trusting me to be part of your journey.

What stood out wasn't just the challenges – it was seeing how many of you are pushing through the same battles I faced:

  • Not knowing where to start

  • Being young and fearing the unknown

  • Scaling without losing your mind etc…

It’s exactly how I felt, especially in those early days waking up at 6 am to open one of our Revitasize locations and then building Hush with my co-founder in the evenings.

Throwback to 4 years ago: 2,000+ orders to ship and three containers arriving on a Sunday

It’s funny because people often mistake how glorious my journey sounds…

“Omg, you went from $4k to $48 million in 48 months that's amazing…”

But those years were some of the most lonely and secluded years of my life.

All my friends were in college, while I was dreaming of just being able to take care of the people I loved.

It felt like I couldn’t relate or “fit in” any friend group...

And when it came time to sell Hush, I was completely lost - had never even met someone who'd sold a business before.

I remember finding my M&A lawyer from a Google search because I didn’t know what else to do. (even he was shocked how I found him 😂.)

It wasn’t until after the Hush exit when I started traveling and hosting dinners with other founders I realized that:

You don’t need to change who you are to fit in, you just need to change the community of people who you surround yourself with.

Looking back I wish I had just one person who had been there before and could have pointed me in the right direction, I would have made way less mistakes and probably made way more money.

As my good friend Jesse Itzler says,

"You’re only one piece of information or one person away from parallel growth."

So my question for you is:

How are you putting yourself in new rooms that can change the direction of your business?

If you’re not sure where to start...

The Founders Club is hosting an exclusive webinar with Zev Siegl, Co-Founder of Starbucks on February 12 at 3 pm EST.

This is a rare chance to hear directly from someone who built one of the world’s most iconic brands. We rarely open these sessions to the public, but we’re making an exception for 200 non-members.

P.S.

Thank you again for your responses in last week's newsletter…

I have more tactical newsletters about growing your business on the way.
